Louisa Stathopoulou

Louisa Stathopoulou is teaching Technology at Pierce – The American College of Greece, as well as coaching the Animation club. For the past 10 years, she has been involved in educational programs teaching Design, Technology and Digital Media in primary and secondary education as well as Product Design and Innovation in BA and MA courses in London and in Athens. She has been involved in European projects regarding new technologies and digital tools in education, coordinated teachers’ trainings and created educational material. During the 11 years she resided in London she worked in various fields of design, such as industrial, interaction and exhibition design and she created public installations and exhibitions for both private and public clients.
Margarita Zogka

Margarita Zogka has been a member of the Pierce Faculty since 2016, teaching Biology and Geography. She is also teaching Biology High level in the IB programme of Pierce since 2017. She has been a Research Fellow in the Department of Molecular Biology of Medical Biopathology and Immunology at Eginitio Hospital from 2006 to 2016 (Medical School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). She has also been a Research Fellow at Neurological Clinic of Eginitio Hospital during 2006-2009, (Medical School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) with special research interests relevant to neurological diseases and psychiatric disorders. She has participated in many national and international conferences and seminars. She has also published a significant number of research articles in international scientific magazines and she is a member of the Hellenic Society of Immunology and the World Psychiatric Association.
Katerina Voutsina

PhD in Management, London School of Economics and Political Science
Dr. Katerina Voutsina is an assistant professor and area coordinator of Entrepreneurship Management at the School of Business and Economics of Deree- the American College of Greece. Prior to joining Deree, she was a research fellow/lecturer in the Department of Management at the London School of Economics and a visiting lecturer at Warwick Business School. Her research interests focus on the cognitive, organizational and socio-economic aspects of technological innovation and entrepreneurship. In particular, new forms of organizing, strategic entrepreneurship, nascent entrepreneurship and socio-technical innovation lie at the gist of her research. Her work has been published in international referred journals and presented at international conferences. She has also served as a reviewer for scholarly journals and academic conferences, as well as a mentor in the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
George Dres
George Dres is a Computer Science teacher at the American College of Greece (Pierce), with extensive experience in teaching, academic writing, and educational administration.
He holds a degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an MBA from the University of Piraeus, and has also studied Natural Sciences and Cognitive Science.
He is particularly interested in interdisciplinary learning and in how concepts such as information connect Computer Science with the Natural, Cognitive, and Social Sciences. His work focuses on helping students see knowledge as a unified, living system rather than as separate subjects.
Stylianos Katsoulis
Electronics & Computer Engineer | IB DP Computer Science Educator | STEM & AI Innovation Coordinator
Interdisciplinary STEM and AI educator with more than 16 years of experience across K–12 and IB Diploma Programme environments. Combines engineering, systems thinking, sustainability education, experiential learning, AI literacy, and project-based STEM innovation with a strong emphasis on student agency, ethical technology integration, and collaborative learning ecosystems.
Experienced in developing scalable STEM pathways integrating robotics, renewable energy systems, computational thinking, embedded systems, AI ethics, and interdisciplinary innovation initiatives.
Maria Mytilinaki Kennedy
Maria Mytilinaki Kennedy has taught Theatre, Speech Communication, and Creative Writing in primary, secondary, and higher education. Her teaching and research record in higher education include Baruch College, Hunter College, and the College of Staten Island in the US, UCL in the UK, and the Hellenic Open University (EAP) in Greece. She received her BA and MA from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, her MA from the University of Warwick, and her MPhil and PhD from the City University of New York, as a Fulbright Scholar. At the American College of Greece, she serves as the Director of US College Counseling and Student Development Initiatives at Pierce, as well as the Precollege Program Coordinator at Deree.
Pavlos Ladias
Pavlos Ladias is a Technology teacher in secondary education, specializing as a Civil Engineering Technologist. He holds a degree from ASPETE, with a specialization in Hydraulic and Transportation Engineering Works, as well as a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in European Management in Construction from Kingston University in the United Kingdom. His undergraduate thesis focused on the theory of Discovery Learning and its application in Technology Education.
He has extensive professional experience both in industry, where he worked in quality control and R&D laboratories in the fields of chemicals and construction materials, and in education. Since 2023, he has been teaching at The American College of Greece – Pierce. He also has experience in adult education, combining theory and practice in the learning process.
Mr. Ladias has attended numerous professional development programmes in areas such as Special Education, Intercultural Education, School Psychology, Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence, and STEM Education, as well as 21st-century skills workshops in collaboration with leading universities and educational organizations.
With a strong focus on innovation, collaborative learning, and interdisciplinary teaching, Pavlos Ladias enriches the learning experience and prepares students and adult learners for the challenges of the future.
